Q & A about UPDATES:

Why should I update my software?
An UPDATE is a program revision that incorporates both new features and programming repairs. You will benefit from the new features as the software expands it capabilities. The repairs resolve programming errors that you might never encounter, or, in some cases could causes probelms.

Can I update from version 2.x by obtaining the Version 3 Update?
No, moving from version 2.x to version 3.x is an UPGRADE. But it is a GREAT CHANGE! No one who has made the switch from version 2 to version 3 has ever requested to switch back (so far...)

Charges for Updates, free Updates and Enhanced Support subscribers:
In keeping with our tradition of "affordable software" you will find the Update prices for v3.30 are quite modest. Users who subscribe to Enhanced Support will automatically receive their Updates with no additional charges.

PCCC v3.14 and v2.75 are still available at no cost.

What happens if I skip an Update?
Any Update is cumulative. When you install an Update, you will immediately have every change and addition up to that point. The Updates include changes to the Help files so you have the instructions for new features.
Pricing for Updates is also cumulative. There is no savings to waiting for a later version before Updating. We recommend that you stay current with the updates and enjoy the new features immediately.

Will the Update procedure affect my data?
This v3.30 UPDATE will install a new database 'system.' Your data files will be modified during the Update process. We have tested and tested the procedure to assure reliable operation. So you can expect your data to remain intact. However, "Murphy's Law" is frequently active, so a good BACKUP prior to installing the Update is essential!
